LIMAP is a high level language that provides the user with a set of COMMON
LISP procedures that define and manipulate a vector/matrix-based knowledge
representation. The user may represent relations among objects using Boolean
or symbolic matrices/vectors. These matrices/vectors are abstract data types
that can represent data stored in arrays.
LIMAP is designed to represent semantic nets, an important class of
representations based on finite and enumerable domains. LIMAP differs from
other net-based representation systems in its emphasis on the efficient
storage of large sparse nets, and on the provision of a second-order query
capability oriented toward queries involving paths.
LIMAP carries the NASA case number LAR-15550. It was originally released as part of the NASA COSMIC collection.
