GRIDGEN is written in FORTRAN 77 and C-language for Silicon Graphics workstations running IRIX 4.0.5, IRIX 5.2 or IRIX 6.2. Installation support for
GRIDGEN and GRIDGEN3D is limited to these releases of the IRIX operating system. Although previous versions of GRIDGEN3D have been successfully
implemented on other platforms, porting the current release to other platforms is expected to be non-trivial. GRIDGEN requires a minimum of 16Mb of RAM and
34Mb of disk space. GRIDGEN also requires a workstation equipped with at least 24 bit planes and a Z-buffer capability.
